Amy brings with her 13 years of experience in meetings and event planning, most recently as Senior Project Manager at EventPower, Inc.
At Destination Gettysburg, Amy will work with members to grow the destination's meetings market - highlighting both traditional and unique meeting and event venues, the growing leadership development programs as well as the variety of amenities that Adams County has to offer meeting and event planners.
“We are excited to bring Amy Sites on board with Destination Gettysburg,” said Norris Flowers, President of Destination Gettysburg. “Amy brings a wealth of experience as a meeting planner and someone who understands the industry from both sides. We look forward to her leadership in growing the meetings market in the Gettysburg area.”
In recent years, Gettysburg and the surrounding countryside have carved its niche in the meetings market through leadership development – using the backdrop of the Civil War battlefield as well as Presidents Lincoln and Eisenhower to provide poignant examples of leadership that can be used in today’s corporate board rooms and throughout organizations of varying sizes.
In addition, the Gettysburg area features a variety of unique venues for meetings and events – including farms, wineries, museums and other historic sites.
“Gettysburg is an incredible meetings destination,” said Sites. “I’m looking forward to working with the partners throughout the Gettysburg market as well as meeting planners from around the country who are looking to bring their event to the region.”
