Destination Gettysburg employs a group of full- and part-time staff to answer phone calls, emails and those that stop in at our two information centers - at our administrative office on West Middle Street and at the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center.
These visitors come to us with a variety of questions - some just want a suggestion on where to eat, while others ask for our help in finding available lodging or how to book the next battlefield or town tour. Even with the rapid growth of technology and information at our visitors' fingertips, the interaction they have with our staff is important to not only answering their questions, but to extend their stay as long as possible, as well as encouraging future visits.
A visitor, for example, may come to Adams County with a limited scope of what there is to do here, but often, after talking with one of our staff members, realize the array of experiences throughout the region.
Destination Gettysburg, too, relies on the hospitality of the tourism community and its employees to assist our visitors in much of the same manner in order to provide these visitors with as much information and inspiration to return time and time again.
