First three months of the year show promising start to 2015 travel season
Overnight stays in Adams County, Pa., are up 4.3 percent so far in 2015, according to a recent STR Report, which measures hotel occupancy throughout the destination. Destination Gettysburg attributes the early success with stronger marketing efforts toward winter and early spring visitation.
For the first three months of 2015, the number of rooms booked has increased by 2,834 – giving the tourism industry in Adams County a strong start to the upcoming travel season.
“It’s still early in the year, but we believe these numbers can be linked back to Destination Gettysburg’s strong marketing campaign for year-round visitation, especially for the first three months of the year, when visitation is typically lower than other months of the year,” said Norris Flowers, President of Destination Gettysburg.
