JOB DESCRIPTION: Excellent opportunity to sell both a 152-room Courtyard by Marriott and a 248-room Wyndham Hotel to one of the most popular Tour & Travel destinations on the East Coast, Gettysburg. Position will solicit and secure Tour & Travel including but not limited to the following tour markets: bank travel, student, adult, FIT, international, retail and series. The expectation is that this position will create new demand and move existing Gettysburg demand to our multi-hotel lodging, dining and entertainment campus, Gateway Gettysburg.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
*Meet or exceed booking goals through aggressive sales activities including outside sales calls, trade show participation, FAM Tours, site visits and prospecting/solicitation calls.
*Sell our hotel and campus as an EXPERIENCE not just rooms and meals.3. Participate in the industry’s leading association events including NTA, ABA & SYTA and more.4. High hunger and desire to create and cultivate this market.
*Detail and communicate high profile VIP arrivals and site visits.6. Network with local attractions to create mutually beneficial relationships providing clients with increased value.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Comprehensive knowledge of the Tour & Travel Market is required. Candidate must have established, solid contacts and be able to make an immediate impact. Solid computer skills required (MS Word, Outlook, MS Excel, etc). Experience with Delphi and/or Hotel SalesPro a plus. We are looking for a “Teamplayer” with a winning attitude who wants to be challenged and is committed to exceeding position expectations on a daily basis.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, WORK EXPERIENCE:
*2+ YEARS OF TOUR & TRAVEL SALES.
Candidate must have established, solid contacts in this market.
*Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft XP Operating System required.
Excellent communication skills; written and verbal.
*Ability to multi-task and prioritize project management.
*Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
*Customer focused, high-energy self starter is required to excel in this high-pace sales environment.
