Welcome to Gettysburg Tourism Works

Most people are aware of the millions of visitors that have walked the Gettysburg battlefield, but fewer understand the impact that tourism has on the economy of Adams County, Pa.

Within the pages of this site, you will discover the story of Gettysburg tourism and how, over time, it has stretched beyond the battlefield to include a lodging industry with everything from traditional hotels to short-term rentals, upscale restaurants to favorite cafes and pizza shops, and a shopping and entertainment scene rarely found in a community of our size.

As one of the largest industries in Adams County, tourism does work for Gettysburg and its countryside.
Let's learn how tourism keeps Gettysburg and Adams County running.
