Holiday Marketing Campaigns in Full Swing To promote Adams County as a festive holiday getaway, Destination Gettysburg has been advertising to our top markets including Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia and Harrisburg. These paid placements include radio in the Washington, D.C and Baltimore area, digital - display, search engine marketing, video and print in regional publications including edible Philly, Susquehanna Style Magazine, Table Magazine and Baltimore Magazine. In addition to placements, we will be distributing social media posts on all platforms - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest. Fall marketing highlights culinary scene and events Destination Gettysburg's fall marketing campaign kicked off on Labor Day and will run through Dedication/Remembrance Day weekend in November. Fall getaways, family history visits, Adams County's food and beverage scene as well as fall events will be promoted throughout our top markets including, Harrisburg, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Pittsburgh, Baltimore as well as Ohio. Our destination will promote socially on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, as well as YouTube. View one of our YouTube videos here. Destination Gettysburg will appear in print throughout the Mid-Atlantic region including AAA World, Recreation News, Baltimore Magazine, Susquehanna Style, Good Housekeeping and Woman's Day. Visitors are continuing to engage socially with Li'l Lincoln and entering the monthly Instagram contest using hashtag #LilLincoln. Through the contest, visitors are encouraged to take Li'l Lincoln along on their adventures throughout the destination and post their favorite memories on Instagram. Destination Gettysburg will continue to make the cut-out Li'l Lincolns available to partners to distribute to their visitors. To promote the fall season, Destination Gettysburg is also host a media FAM tour October 10-11. Eight invited journalists will be taken throughout Adams County to experience agritourism, culinary and history experiences that are offered here. This FAM tour will produce social and written coverage of fall offerings. Our paid advertisements, blogs, social media and media relations will work together to highlight the beauty of fall in Gettysburg and Adams County, our engaging history experiences and our can't miss festivals. Latest marketing focuses on summer offerings Destination Gettysburg's summer marketing campaign has launched. From Memorial Day to Labor Day, summer getaways, family history visits, Adams County's food and beverage scene as well as summer events will be promoted throughout our top markets including, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Pittsburgh and Baltimore. Paid advertising is being placed throughout the Mid-Atlantic region including AAA World, Philadelphia Magazine, Food & Travel Magazine, Susquehanna Style Magazine, Good Housekeeping, Woman's Day and Harrisburg Magazine's Family Fun Guide. Digital marketing will be found on online platforms such as AAAWorld.com, TripAdvisor, Washington.org and Expedia. Targeted digital advertising will utilize traditional displays, video, YouTube and steaming, as well as native and in-app targeting to market to foodies, families and users ages 25-45 who are interested in culture, heritage and family travel. The Adams County Pour Tour® will continue to be a focus of our marketing this summer as craft beverage makers produce new wines, ciders, beers and spirits. Destination Gettysburg will have a presence at the PA Cider Fest and Gettysburg Brew Fest to promote the trail even further. In addition to paid advertisements blogs, social media and media relations will work together to highlight the best that Adams County has to offer in the summer months. We will also be utilizing Li'l Lincoln heavily this summer and encourage visitors to post on social media. |

Marketing Campaign highlights spring activities Destination Gettysburg’s spring marketing campaign runs from March through mid-June, and will target a variety of themes including historical travel, couples adventures, recreation and rejuvenation, culinary and beverage. As always, Destination Gettysburg's marketing plan will again utilize paid advertising, social media, public relations, group sales, owned media, My Gettysburg app and blog. Print ads through the spring season include a co-op in National Parks Magazine, The National, Pittsburgh Magazine, Food and Travel, Recreation News, Baltimore Magazine, Good Housekeeping, Woman’s Day, Conde Nast (Philadelphia & Baltimore), AAA World Magazine, AAA World’s PA Attractions Guide and Susquehanna Style. Digital advertising will be placed with Washington.org, RecreationNews.com, AAAWorld.com and BaltimoreMagazine.com. YouTube will also be incorporated into the standard search and display digital components. Our communications team will be pitching stories on springtime rejuvenation, outdoor activities and culinary offerings, as well as highlighting new events this season. |

From Labor Day to Dedication Day/Remembrance Day weekend at the end of November, fall getaways, family history visits, Adams County's food and beverage scene as well as fall events will be promoted throughout our top markets including, Philadelphia, Washington D.C., Pittsburgh and Baltimore.
Paid advertising is being placed throughout the Mid-Atlantic region including AAA World, Pittsburgh Magazine, Philadelphia Magazine, Baltimore Magazine, GolfStyles Magazine and Recreation News.
The Adams County Pour Tour will continue to be a focus of our marketing this fall as craft beverage makers begin to produce new wines, ciders, beers and spirits. Destination Gettysburg staff attended WTMD's First Thursday concert series event, which is a monthly concert hosted and promoted by WTMD- a local Baltimore Radio station that draws in thousands of people every month. At First Thursday, our staff promoted the new craft beverage trail and destination. Destination Gettysburg also had a presence at the Gettysburg Wine and Music Festival and Gettysburg Brew Fest to promote the trail even further.
This year, a 10-second TV spot will be played on the United States Traffic Network in New Jersey and Pennsylvania markets including KDKA-TV in Pittsburgh, KYW-TV in Philadelphia and WHP-TV in the Harrisburg/Lancaster/York area. Check out the TV spot here.
