Gettysburg welcomes two 'escape' rooms

Two new attractions have opened their doors this spring in the Gettysburg area, and this latest trend in entertainment is already popular among visitors to Adams County, Pa.

But what is an escape room?

Escape rooms offer participants - normally a group of friends/family or strangers - with an hour-long experience to solve a series of puzzles to unlock (or escape) from a room.

Rooms and puzzles vary greatly, but often include themes, such as they do in Gettysburg's two escape rooms - 1863 Escape and Escape Gettysburg. Escaping these rooms takes teamwork and creative thinking. 

Escape rooms aren't just for leisure travelers. Such attractions are also popular for meeting groups and group travelers.
