Rounding out the end of the holiday season, New Year's activities are abundant in Gettysburg. There are many places throughout town that will be offering different events to ring in the new year. Gettysburg's 19th Annual New Year's Eve Celebration features music, fireworks and free entertainment for the entire family. The activities are as follows: Majestic Theater's Free Family Movie, 25 Carlisle St. 7:30 p.m. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation- Free admission but reservations are recommended. Christ Lutheran Church, 30 Chambersburg St. 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. Magician John Wolfe 8:45 - 9:25 p.m. American music by Dearest Home, led by the Folkemer Family 9:30 - 10:20 p.m. Sing-along, seasonal and traditional songs led by Christ Lutheran musicians 10:30 - 11:20 p.m. Cormorants Fancy, folk, Celtic and seasonal tunes 11:30 - 11:45 p.m. Community worship service Lincoln Square 9 - 12:30 a.m. DJ Mark Rosensteel 9:20 - 9:30 p.m. Entertainer Paul Moschette 9:30 - 10:15 p.m. Music by Hundreds of Thousands, an alternative rock band 10:20 - 10:30 p.m. Madalynn Alt, baton twirler 10 - 12 a.m. Balloon art by Adventure in Fun, Gettysburg Hotel College Room 10:30 - 11:30 p.m. Music by the band Audacity, a classic rock band 11:30 Countdown to midnight on Gettysburg Hotel porch, emcee Mark Rosensteel, Funny Hat Contest, Mayor Ted Streeter, guest soloist Margaret Folkemer 12 midnight Fireworks display over Lincoln Square In addition to the festivities happening in Lincoln Square, there will also be New Year's Eve events happening at the Inn at Herr Ridge, The Farnsworth House, The Gettysburg Hotel, Liberty Mountain Resort and the Battlefield Bed and Breakfast Inn. >> Check out the Full Calendar
