New hotel set to open at outlet mall

A new hotel is set to open later this summer at the Outlet Shoppes of Gettysburg, representatives with As One Management announced this week.
 
The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gettysburg Southeast will open in August and feature 99 guest rooms - a combination the brand's latest prototype guest rooms rooms and suites, as well as three meeting spaces and other amenities including a business center, fitness center, indoor pool and breakfast area.
 
The hotel is constructed on the southwest corner of the Outlet Shoppes of Gettysburg, visible from Route 15, and is the second hotel built on the property. The other, a Country Inn & Suites by Carlson, was built in 2001, and has been recently renovated. Both are owned and managed by As One Management - as is the Hilton Garden Inn on York Road.
 
Melissa Ferguson, who has held leadership positions with As One Management's other local properties - the Country Inn & Suites and the Hilton Garden Inn, will be the hotel's new General Manager. Tammy Felton will be the Sales & Guest Services Manager.
 
The Holiday Inn Express is the second of two hotels to open in Adams County, Pa., this year. In May, the Best Western Gettysburg opened on Steinwehr Avenue.

Community invited to grand opening event
 
Members of the Adams County community are invited to celebrate the grand opening of the new Holiday Inn Express & Suites Gettysburg Southeast, on Sunday, Aug. 13, from 4 to 8 p.m.
 
The celebration will include a moon bounce, food trucks, 105.7 the X Peoples Morning Show Host Jen Shade. Vendors include Treat Yo' Self, Poppa J's Concessions and Uncle Moe's Soul Food.

As a way of supporting the community, As One Management's grand opening event will feature a dunk tank with local celebrities to benefit the Pennsylvania Wounded Warriors Inc.
 
The celebration will be held at the hotel, 1871 Gettysburg Village Drive, Gettysburg.
