Destination Gettysburg is gearing up for its 2017 Operator FAM Tour next week with a seven-stop adventure through Adams County, Pa. Representatives from 11 tour companies are scheduled to arrive in late afternoon on Tuesday, July 18, and spend the 18 hours experiencing a wide variety of sites ranging from hotels and restaurants, to farm markets and other attractions including a sample of Adams County's emerging craft beverage scene. The tour companies focus primarily on the senior/adult market and are mainly interested in interactive history, civilian stories and new culinary experiences. In addition to the stops throughout the region, numerous member businesses are participating in an expo on Wednesday, July 19, to showcase their experience to the tour operators. The Operator FAM is part of a three-day itinerary that includes sites in Lancaster and Hershey. These FAM tours are great ways to personally introduce those who plan group travel to the experiences that Adams County has to offer.
