Destination Gettysburg is ready to begin its winter marketing campaign to attract visitors in January, February and March. Much of the marketing will be centered around outdoor recreation at Liberty Mountain Resort, relaxing getaways and our culinary scene - which includes great restaurants and wineries.
The staff has already published a blog - "Eight Things to Do in Gettysburg This Winter" - and its already become one of the blog's top posts with 3,500 views. More winter themed blogs, including food and recipe posts, are planned for the season.
Pitches to media and further social media posts are planned for the winter season as a way to usher in the "Gettysburg Inspired" theme for 2017. Already, several journalists have expressed interest in visiting Adams County during the winter season.
Digital marketing will drive visitors to the website and mobile app to learn more about winter activities, events and great lodging. Washington DC, Baltimore and Harrisburg will be the target markets for this campaign.
This is an expansion of 2016 winter marketing which specifically ran on WashtingtonPost.com. The 2017 campaign will take advantage of our work with Essex Digital Platforms to reach our audience on their preferred sites and apps.
